About the Project:

 

John Holland is thrilled to announce an upcoming greenfield site project, working on Stage 1 of a multiple-stage, sustainable, future-proof, long-term endeavour that aims to reshape the nation's supply and distribution network; located in the Northern suburbs. We are seeking experienced Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers with a strong and varied background in civil engineering, specifically with extensive experience in earthworks, rock removal, drainage, and the construction of new road pavements, to join our team. 

 

Project Overview:

 

  • This groundbreaking project entails the development of a greenfield site and marks the beginning of a transformative initiative within the Northern suburbs. 
  • The project's objective is to create a sustainable and future-proof supply and distribution network within the freight corridor that will shape the nation's infrastructure for years to come.

 

To be successful in this key role, you must have / What we are looking for;

 

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer in the civil engineering sector, with a strong emphasis on earthworks, rock removal, drainage, and the construction of new road pavements.
  • Expertise in planning and executing earthwork operations, including grading, excavation, and compaction, as well as the removal of rock formations.
  • Ability to manage project costs to defined budgets and forecast works
  • Knowledge of drainage systems design and construction, with a focus on ensuring proper water management and compliance with industry standards.
  • Experience in the construction of new road pavements, including pavement design, materials selection, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on driving innovation and continuous improvement in the civil engineering domain.
