With a clear ‘cloud first’ mandate and the need to continually deliver a unified collaboration and integrated end user IT platform, you will be engaged as a key member of the technology platform team. Delivery excellence underpins the strategy that includes our video conferencing solutions to offices across the country and the world.
 

Responsibilities of the role include;

  • Provides technical and operational support for our extensively utilised video conferencing solution driving user experience improvements
  • Provides SME-level technical support of all facets of a Microsoft Surface Hubs (+50), Surface Hub integration into Skype for Business or Teams, Polycom equipment and associated AV room (+50) requirements  and understands the end-to-end (E2E) technical service(s) including dependent components and infrastructure
  • Provides SME level support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by internal clients and other team members through phone and ticket channels. Implement and manage proactive monitoring and service quality tools
  • Works with our cloud team to implement end user points associated with our Office 365 (inc Teams and Skype for Business) and other cloud-based collaboration tools
  • Engages with our cloud , network and service desk teams to provide highly reliable solutions for video conferencing and collaboration via Skype for Business, Teams, Polycom and Microsoft Hubs including the implementation of test and assessment plans for new collaboration technology
  • Helps define hardware and software decisions, including desktops, laptops, headsets, printers, scanners and mobile devices. This includes installation and relocation of devices, as required. Importantly this role includes the sourcing of input from key cloud, network and service desk teams in order to support the design led thinking approach.
     

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

  • Clear understand of a unified collaboration and video conference strategy and its importance in the business
  • Mid- Senior Level experience delivering technical support and development services to large scale enterprise deployments of Skype for Business with Microsoft Hubs, Polycom video conference and related VC/AV solutions (Web and Audio Conferencing)
  • In depth understanding of instant messaging architecture and protocols
  • Support and Deployment experience with Cisco, Polycom or similar video infrastructure
  • Strong experience w/VoIP best practices, process, and procedures for deployment and support
