About the Role

We have an Estimating Manager position available within our Infrastructure and Major Projects Pre-Contracts team, based at our Flinders Gate office in VIC. Reporting to the Senior Estimating Manager, you will lead and manage all aspects of submissions and negotiations of major tenders of up to $1.5b across our VIC/TAS and SA Infrastructure division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a high performing team of Estimators 
  • Oversee the preparation of estimates and submission of tenders 
  • Ensure costs for estimates are based on realistic timing and cost structures 
  • Liaise with external consultants in bidding for projects 
  • Manage investigation and analysis of detail estimates and projects for factors and costs 
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction 
  • Complete forecast and tender cost reporting
  • Collate and present tender cost information for handover at project launch
  • Monitor performance of subordinates to ensure high standards of technical performance in estimating and cost planning functions
  • Ensure legislative, pre-contract and commercial obligations are met, including compliance with relevant Building Code

To be successful, you will require the following:

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent degree
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience including estimating and management
  • Management of multidisciplinary projects and project teams
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management
  • Experience in Construct Only, Design & Construct, Managing Contract, Alliance, joint Ventures, Alliances & PPP Contracts types
