About North Western Program Alliance
North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of five Alliance partners – John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (VIDA Rail), working together as one team to achieve shared goals.
Since 2017, the Victorian Government has entrusted North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) and our Alliance partners to remove dangerous and congested level crossings, deliver new rail stations and infrastructure, and create more community open spaces.
Our Alliance currently has four projects in delivery and two in development phase, along with the successful delivery of ten level crossing removal projects (17LX) and several premium stations and a Tram Maintenance Facility.

We are looking for a Data and Financial Analyst to join our team based at Sunshine on a full time permanent basis.
Role Responsibilities
The Data & Financial Analyst provides strategic and operational financial and analytical support to the Commercial Manager enabling data-driven decision-making across Project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and procurement. This role combines financial acumen with analytical expertise to interpret complex datasets, identify trends and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across the Projects.
- Extract, cleanse, and analyse complex datasets from financial, procurement, and project systems.
- Build and maintain financial and data models to support budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and scenario planning.
- Analyse financial performance to identify trends, variances, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Deliver clear financial reports and dashboards with insightful variance analysis.
- Support identification, tracking, and delivery of cost-saving and KPI optimisation initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Estimating, Delivery, Social Procurement) to translate data into actionable insights.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leaders in a clear, compelling manner.
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of financial systems and data governance.
About You
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science or a related field.
- Experience in financial analysis, data analytics, or a similar role.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar tools will be advantageous
- Solid understanding of financial principles & systems.
- Analytical professional with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage priorities and deadlines effectively.
