As the Product Owner you are responsible for maximizing the value of the product, and representing the products that you govern throughout John Holland.  The Product Owner will plan and guide how an Agile product team best delivers on organisational goals and objectives and driving the long term strategic direction of products within your remit


Responsibilities of the role include;

  •  Manage Agile delivery of developments and enhancements, based on business and customer needs, user journeys, and design requirements
  • Support an Agile team to deliver products relevant to your business unit’s functions, including activities such as:
    • Clearly expressing Prduct Backlog items; Manage and re-priritise the backlog, adjusting any long-term expectations such as release plans
    • Influence and facilitate business priritisation to support delivery, including by removal of blockers
    • Align prduct development teams to a clear vision and objectives in line with business and ICT strategy
    • Represent the needs, wants and desires f key business stakeholders to optimise product development
    • Ensuring that the Prduct Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next; and,
  • Ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed


To be successful in this key role, you must have:

  • Led a team of 5-10 people to deliver projects or initiatives
  • Experience with finance system
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry and understand the inner workings, operational processes and strategy of the end users of your product(s)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience in an Agile environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Computing related field or other relevant qualifications and / or relevant work experience within the industry
  • Professional Scrum Master certification or equivalent experience
