About the Role:
As an IT Finance Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining financial records, managing IT budgets, and delivering whole-of-IT reporting. You’ll ensure compliance with finance policies and provide high-level service to internal and external stakeholders. This is a hands-on role where you’ll govern IT procurement, oversee cost allocations, and support asset and financial management strategies.

 

You’ll work closely with the IT Finance Manager and internal JH IT teams. Externally, you’ll build relationships with IT suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Maintain accurate financial records and oversee IT recoveries
•    Prepare, provision, and report on IT budgets in line with business and finance policy
•    Govern IT procurement, including purchase orders, invoice receipting, and cost allocations
•    Collate and submit product/platform service consumption data for chargebacks
•    Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
•    Track and monitor cost recovery of IT assets
•    Engage with stakeholders to identify improvements in IT asset management
•    Assist in documenting service request and asset registration processes

 

What You’ll Bring:
•    High School Certificate (essential)
•    TAFE or post-secondary qualification in financial management or administration (preferred)
•    Experience managing digital and IT assets for business value
•    Strong understanding of budgets, cost management, and financial acumen
•    Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and issue resolution skills
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and desktop applications (e.g., ServiceNow)
•    Effective time management and organizational skills
•    Team player with a focus on outcomes and tasks

Essential Experience:

•    Managing digital and IT assets to create optimal business value
•    Cost recovery and generating reports to track recoveries versus spend
•    Working with diverse and dispersed customers (3+ years)
•    Demonstrated information management competency
•    Interpreting and delivering technology-based contractual obligations
•    Understanding of budgets and cost management
•    Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

 

Typical/Preferred Experience:
•    Project-based and corporate IT supplier management
•    Strong experience in asset management processes
•    Contribution to delivery of IT strategies
•    Time management and ability to prioritize work tasks
•    Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office and desktop applications (e.g., ServiceNow)
•    Effective team-player capabilities and good team management skills
•    Skills in identifying and documenting IT asset management and financial processes
