We are currently looking for an experienced Marketing and Engagement Specialist to join us, working across all projects on the Alliance. This role has the flexibility to be full-time or part-time.
 

About the Role

Whilst you will be initially based on the North Western Program Alliance, this is a long-term career opportunity with John Holland.

 

As the Marketing and Engagement Specialist, you will lead the implementation of program-wide communications and stakeholder engagement programs for the NWPA Program of works, during both Development and Delivery.
You will manage the development and implementation of specialist engagement programs for local traders, local schools, medical facilities, local councils and other identified specialist groups. Through developing and delivering marketing and business campaigns to genuinely help those that are impacted, you will project a strong and positive image of the Project to stakeholders and the community.
 

Responsibilities of the role include;

•    Manage the overall Marketing and Engagement strategy for key stakeholder groups including but not limited to local traders and local schools
•    Develop and implement marketing strategies in line with the customer’s framework during the Development phase moving into Delivery.
•    Provide research and insight into specific trader issues/needs across the program of works. Develop and implement a strategic plan around best practice communications and engagement in managing impacts to traders during periods of significant disruption to ensure continuity of business.
•    Understand traders’ operations and implement strategies to manage high impact disruptions to schools, childcare centres and medical facilities (and other identified specialist groups).
•    Act as the point of accountability for the consultation and engagement with these key stakeholder groups.
•    Work with the on the ground communications and engagement teams to ensure activities are undertaken strategically, minimising impact and disruption to key stakeholder groups.
•    Work with project Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Managers to ensure budgets are managed effectively.
•    Monitor effectiveness of marketing initiatives and implement changes as required.
•    Participate in lessons learnt workshops to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are shared and implemented across the program of works.
•    Ensure customer expectations are fully understood and develop good working relationships with the customer.
•    Ensure timeframes for communication with stakeholders and the community as outlined client’s specification document are met.
•    Assist to develop strategies to achieve best possible results with project KRA, KPIs and ISCA rating.
•    Draft reports to meet project reporting cycles.
•    Plan and manage contact with external stakeholders and the community in a way that enhances the reputation of the customer, John Holland, and project partners. 
•    Ensure project databases are up to date, including Consultation Manager.
•    Perform all takes in accordance with the Alliance policies, processes, systems, report and procedures.
 

To be successful in this role, you will have;

•    Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) or certificate or relevant experience (disciplines relevant to function area, e.g. public relations, journalism, stakeholder management, marketing).
•    More than 5 years’ experience in marketing/events within a major organisation
•    More than 8 years’ experience in a related field eg. marketing, event management or communication and stakeholder engagement
•    Experience in leading project or specialist function activities
•    Excellent verbal, written and personal presentation
•    Personable, engaging and a natural relationship builder
