We’re offering a unique opportunity for a National Facilities Manager to lead John Holland’s office portfolio in a newly created role based at our Flinders Gate office in Melbourne. This position calls for a strategic thinker ready to set a new benchmark in Facilities Management for a Tier 1 contractor.

In this role you will lead a team of facilities managers and receptionists, responsible for corporate offices across the east coast of Australia. This role will aim to deliver a strategy that uplifts the management of our offices to ensure our people have the best place to work.

About the Role

  • Leadership of the national facilities portfolio, including corporate offices, facilities managers and receptionists
  • Identify improvement opportunities across offices nationally (i.e. consistency of communications, desk booking systems, office standards)
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the office (facilities management, contractors etc), delivering consistency where possible nationally
  • Oversee and coordinate the effective day-to-day running of the reception and administration functions and provide support and training to the staff nationally
  • Establish, build and maintain relationships with the property managers, office suppliers and subcontractors to ensure deliveries and works are scheduled and completed
  • Design and implement office policies nationally
  • Ensure all John Holland subcontractors and visitors follow the appropriate processes and are inducted in the building
  • Ensure basic office requirements including seating allocations, tender space management, and reception staff are coordinated and managed
  • Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems and procedures

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a relevant tertiary qualification, along with:

 

  • Experience in office management, leasing and contractor management
  • Substantial experience in an office environment, including management of an office 
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • General understanding of the technology and systems associated with records management
  • Knowledge of administrative practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of document management procedures and processes

 

Your exceptional organisational skills and ability to juggle competing priorities, along with your confidence in providing support at a senior level, will see you succeed in the role.
