We are currently looking for Overhead Wiring Linesperson to join our team based in Spotswood. Reporting to the Overhead Wiring Manager, these roles will support our Rail Infrastructure Services business as well as John Hollands Major Projects. There will be a requirement for nightshift as well as weekend work. Applicants must have strong people skills as well as a minimum of 2 years experience as an OHW Linesperson.

 

Responsibilities of the role will include;
Interpretation/application of designs & standards
Installation of Mast Foundations
Installation of OHW Masts, Portals and Signal Gantries
Pre-assembly, fabrication of OHW assemblies
Installation of assemblies and hardware
Stringing and tensioning of conductors – Catenary and contact wires
Electrical and mechanical connections
Removal of redundant infrastructure
Quality assurance checks

 

To be successful in this key role, you must have;
Trade Qualification Certificate III in Rail Traction
2 years previous construction experience in a similar role (as a minimum).
Experience with Metro Trains Melbourne Overhead Wiring Systems
Rigging Licence
Dogging Licence
EWP ticket
Level 2 First Aid
Working at Heights Certificate

 

The following would be advantageous;
Cert III Overhead Wiring Distribution
Yarra Trams certification
