About John Holland

At John Holland, our purpose is simple – we transform lives with everything we do.

We’ve always known that infrastructure is about people — our customers, our employees, and the communities in which we work every day.

That’s our difference. Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.

Be part of the team that’s up for the challenge of transforming lives for good.

Are you up for the challenge?

As Personal Assistant to our Chief Digital & Information Officer you’ll be at the heart of our IT team, working alongside an inspiring leader at the forefront of digital transformation and also supporting three General Managers across Applications & Emerging Technology, Cybersecurity & Enterprise Services, and IT Technology Operations.

Bring your energy, tech-savvy mindset, and exceptional organisational skills to a team that values positivity, collaboration, and a ‘can do’ attitude. This is an office-based role in our landmark Flinders Street offices, where you’ll help foster a culture that’s upbeat, supportive, and always moving forward.

What you will do;

  • Provide high-level administrative and logistical support, including diary management, communications, document and presentation preparation, reporting, and records management.
  • Manage accounts, invoices, purchase requisitions, expenses, and procurement processes with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Minute meetings, coordinate travel and logistics, and organise events for the broader IT team.
  • Support day-to-day activities for three General Managers in addition to the CDIO, ensuring seamless operations across multiple business areas.
  • Liaise confidently with executive stakeholders, EAs, corporate VIPs, vendors, and community partners.
  • Champion a vibrant team culture, bringing enthusiasm and structure to every task.
  • Navigate competing priorities with confidence, using sound judgement to manage expectations and ensuring resources are focused where they’re needed most.

What we are looking for;

  • Certificate II, III or IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Strong background as a Personal Assistant providing support at a senior level
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Sharepoint
  • Ideally experience within construction/engineering or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of administrative practices as well as document and records management procedures and processes
  • Discretion, integrity, and a natural problem-solving approach.
  • Outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • A collaborative spirit and the drive to make a positive impact.
  • A genuine interest in technology and digital innovation, with the ability to confidently engage with IT subject matter
