About the Role
The Senior Management Accountant supports the Corporate Finance Manager in delivering accurate and timely financial outcomes for corporate cost centres. The role contributes to the integrity of month‑end results, assists with corporate charges, maintains sound financial controls, and provides reliable financial information that underpins budgeting, forecasting, and day‑to‑day operational decision‑making. This position ensures strong internal service by partnering effectively with stakeholders and supporting the wider finance team in achieving consistent and high‑quality financial processes. Your focus will be on getting the fundamentals right; accurate corporate charge outs, a tidy ledger, and timely month end delivery while preparing high quality data that enables budgeting and forecasting analysis.
What you will do;
- Manage corporate charge outs from start to finish, including preparing datasets, coding correctly and resolving queries
- Review and post journals, tidy misallocations and maintain a clean, accurate ledger
- Deliver core month‑end tasks, including timely balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
- Prepare utilisation report and ad-hoc reports at request, presenting information in clear, well‑formatted tables
- Prepare reliable data packs to support budgeting, forecasting and analysis
- Look for opportunities to simplify processes, improve inputs and reduce rework across the team
- Work collaboratively with Corporate Finance, Business Unit Finance and corporate function stakeholders to ensure coding, cost allocations and reporting are accurate and understood
- Support consistent procure‑to‑pay practice including guiding stakeholders on correct PO creation
What we are looking for;
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline
- CPA, CA or currently working towards this
- Advanced Excel skills including data manipulation, handling large datasets, analysis, reporting and strong presentation/formatting capability.
- Familiarity with ERP Systems (eg Workday) and standard finance tools (eg Blackline)
- A logical, thorough problem‑solver who can track issues to their source and resolve them systematically and proactively
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong sense of ownership over the quality of your work
- Clear, confident and professional communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of management accounting principles
