About North Western Program Alliance

 

North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of three Alliance partners – John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals. 


Since 2017, NWPA has had a proven track record with the successful delivery of eight level crossing removal projects (13 LX) and several premium stations, with two projects currently in delivery (4 LX) and three in development phase. 

About the Role

 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join us, based on our Melton project – delivering the removal of two level crossing, a new premium train station and a new bus interchange.


As a Senior Traffic Engineer, your main responsibility will be to provide on-site traffic engineering services and technical support. This ensures the planning, implementation and maintenance of traffic management is carried out, according to specified guidelines.

 

 

Responsibilities of the role include;

 

  • Developing strategies for traffic management in accordance with best practices and HSE standards.
  • Collaborating with engineers and managers to identify traffic management needs based on project designs and work methodologies. 
  • Providing technical guidance to project staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved. 
  • Reviewing traffic and transport matters and proposing innovative solutions for improvements.
  • Establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication on traffic matters.
  • Ensuring site works conform to approved designs and road safety plans and audits.
  • Supervising and reviewing the work of our traffic contractors and engineers.
  • Reporting on traffic engineering performance, compliance, and non-conformance.

 


Qualifications and experience required for the role;

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Construction, or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of experience in traffic engineering.
  • Knowledge of traffic management plans, specifications, and standards.
  • More than 2 years of experience in civil/infrastructure/rail construction.
  • Proficiency in document and record management, progress and project performance reporting, and compliance procedures.
  • Passion for developing your career with John Holland and be mentored by industry experts. 
  • Ability to travel and work on-site in Melton.
