About the Project
John Holland, Stantec and KBR are partnering with Sydney Water in an Alliance to deliver the North-West Treatment Hub – a brownfield treatment program that will commence with a $500 million upgrade of Rouse Hill and Riverstone wastewater treatment facilities. The project will achieve circular economy outcomes, increasing recycled water production, improving the quality of wastewater byproducts for reuse, and leveraging innovative treatment technologies that reduce carbon footprint. Upgrades will support the treatment of a further 45 megalitres of wastewater each day, to cater for growing northwest communities. The Project will deliver a new state-of-the-art biosolids facility at Riverstone, with new technology to improve the quality of wastewater byproducts.
About The Role
We are seeking a Commissioning and Completions Manager to join North West Hub Alliance within the infrastructure Water treatment department. North West Hub Alliance is responsible for delivering number of upgrades for Riverstone WRRF (Water Resource Recovery Facility) and Rouse Hill WRRF. This position shall ensure that commissioning and completions activities comply with all aspects of Contract, Schedule, Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, Site regulations, and Client requirements. The position will report to the Project Manager and will be based at either Rouse Hill or Riverstone in NSW.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Drive the Commissioning team to ensure that the process of testing & commissioning preparation and execution is managed, planned, documented, resourced and executed meeting technical requirements as defined by the contract documents, to meet project budget and program requirements
- Assist the Delivery team to ensure ongoing identification, review and acceptance of completions and handover works. Contribute to the effective control of Completion risks.
- Comprehensive Planning, Implementation and Management of all testing, commissioning, performance testing, reliability testing, process proving, operator training, to achieve handover of the Project to the Client
- Provide leadership and technical direction to project staff, Design Partners, Subcontractors, Project Managers, Technology Vendors and blue-collar workforce to ensure testing, pre commissioning & commissioning is undertaken to safety and quality standards
- Help identify risks to the construction handover, commissioning and implementation and apply control measures to the risks
- Prepares, implements, and revises as required the Testing & Commissioning Management Plan and Sub-plans in compliance with the Contract requirements and with the Testing & Commissioning strategy
- Reviews the Testing & Commissioning Management Plans when prepared by sub-contractors or suppliers
- Develop required commissioning documentation (organisation, staffing, program, schedules, templates, test procedures) in accordance with project requirements
- Reviews required commissioning and handover documentation (organisation, staffing, program, schedules, templates, test procedures) when falling in the scope of the subcontractors/vendors
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
- Bachelors in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Automation Engineering
- Extensive experience in the field of M&E installation/testing & commissioning within large scale construction of brownfield wastewater treatment plant upgrades
- Successful project delivery experience as a Commissioning Manager
