Accounts Payable Manager, NWPA

North Western Program Alliance consists of four partners, working as ‘one team’ collocated in the Alliance’s head and project offices. NWPA has a proven track record with the completion of four level crossing removal projects, a Premium station rebuild and 3 projects currently in delivery.

We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join the team. As Accounts Payable Manager you will  provide senior financial support to the NWPA work’s package teams by managing the accounts payable team to process and administer creditor payments through accurate processing, verifying and reconciling of invoices ensuring compliance to John Holland policies and statutory requirement such as those set by the ATO. Ensure a strong focus on dispute resolution, problem solving, team development and responding to customers internal and external vendor queries.

Responsibilities of the role include;
­- Monitor and report on compliance with Project Owner Advanced Payment Deed Poll to pay suppliers with 14 days of receiving a compliant tax invoice.

To be successful in this key role, you must have:
­- Minimum 5-10 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role
­- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related area
­- Experience administering the relevant accounting systems utilised by the project
­- Corporate or site-based experience within construction, transport or related industries desirable
­- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
­- Highly developed attention to detail
­- Proven time management, planning and organisational skills
­- Proven ability drive process improvement and development of team members
