Job Description

We are looking for a talented multimedia content producer to join our fast-paced communication and engagement team at the North Western Program Alliance (NWPA). NWPA is a high performing Alliance working with the Level Crossing Removal Project to remove some of the most dangerous level crossings across Metropolitan Melbourne. This role is diverse, working across internal and external NWPA teams to develop, implement and evaluate quality digital, communication and engagement activities.

This role contributes directly to the Alliance achieving well timed, authentic and relevant communication and engagement with key stakeholders, the community, our staff and Alliance partners. In doing so, you will play your part in enhancing the reputation of the Alliance with our stakeholders and helping successfully deliver projects on behalf of the State.

This newly created role will be very hands-on, roughly 70% digital and video content production and 30% internal communications:


- Produce multimedia content to inform and engage NWPA staff, key stakeholders, project owner and the general public  
- Assist the Senior Internal Communication Advisor with story writing and other tasks to deliver effective internal communications to the Alliance, Alliance partners and project owner

- Working with internal Alliance stakeholders to develop engaging live events for staff via platforms such as Microsoft Teams Live Events
- Producing digital content to support the Alliance’s internal communications strategy to help build a connected and engaged Alliance and brand
- Writing, filming and editing all videos, including generating storyboards, coaching talent, gathering pre-exiting content and searching for stock material and music
- Supporting the Alliance by creating and producing engaging video content for the project owner’s social media channels
- Supporting the Senior Internal Communications Advisor with sourcing and writing Alliance news stories to promote through various channels and strengthen our brand

Skills & Knowledge
- Ability to produce a video from brief to final delivery, managing each production step proactively and effectively
- Familiar with Microsoft Teams Live Events
- Proficient in the use of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition and other necessary software for producing videos in a Windows environment
- Proficiency with video and audio recording equipment, including cameras (DSLR), storage devices, mics, tripods, lights and other related equipment necessary to capture live action footage
- Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to successfully articulate complex digital solutions in a simple and engaging way
- Team collaboration and leadership: thrive in a highly collaborative and interdepartmental environment


This role requires the following:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in media, journalism, communications or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2+ years of video production including videography, video editing, keying and grading, subtitling, and formatting for various platforms.
