North Western Program Alliance consists of four partners, working as ‘one team’ collocated in the Alliance’s head and project offices. NWPA has a proven track record with the completion of three level crossing removal projects, a Premium station rebuild and another project currently in delivery.

 

To drive effective management on the upcoming program of works, the Alliance is looking to add to its high caliber workforce to safely and efficiently deliver additional work packages and contribute to the ongoing growth of a skilled and inclusive local industry.

 


As Temporary Works Coordinator you will coordinate the Temporary Works Design delivery during the Construction Phase across multiple Projects  to achieve project time and budget objectives and continuous improvement across the program of works

 

Responsibilities of the role include:
­- Plan and control the delivery of Temporary Works Design to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and project objectives;
­- Coordinate and liaise with respective construction teams to develop Temporary Works Design solutions to facilitate the construction of the Permanent Works
­- Actively participate in developing cost optimised and constructable Temporary Works solutions;
­- Manage the design approval process by coordinating issue resolution;
­- Ensure compliance of Temporary Works with safety requirements
­- Management of temporary works package register, drawings and package numbers, revision control
­- Management of cost codes, accruals, and forecasting of temporary works cost codes
­- Drive continuous improvement through optimising design solutions, prioritising reuse of proven designs
­- Support and manage Temporary Works Engineers across multiple delivery projects
­- Oversee development of temporary works briefs to ensure that the work of Temporary Works design consultants is efficient and productive
­- Manage Temporary Works design consultants allocated to the project to ensure that their progress meets the requirements;
­- Validation of temporary works conducted on site.
­- Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting
- Understand design compliance and reporting procedures and processes and leadership in the communication of requirements

 

To be successful in this key role, you must have:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent
­- Minimum 5 years’ engineering experience
­- Experience on > $50 M Projects
­- Experience in management of design consultants
­- Project Engineer and operational experience
­- Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilities
­- Understanding of the Project Design Management Plan, Quality Management Plan. Safety Management Plan and Environmental Management Plan
­- Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirements
