Title:  Quality Officer

John Holland manages the prestigious Country Regional Network (CRN) which makes us the first accredited private rail transport operator of a government owned heavy rail network in NSW, and one of only three accredited managers of public rail infrastructure in the State. The scope involves the operation, management and upgrade of country railway lines across NSW including 2,700km of operational freight and passenger lines, and 3,100km of non-operational lines.


We are seeking a strong communicator and methodical problem solver to support the CRN team with the delivery of consistent quality outcomes, focusing on the management of records and process alignment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is willing to come up with new and improved solutions and make the role their own. 

 

Responsibilities of the role include;

  • Assist in the creation and review of process documentation, including the correct use of Sharepoint
  • Coordinate storage, archiving and disposal of organisational records
  • Provide support, training and guidance to our people with regard to Quality and Records
  • Coordinate Records Management and liaise with other disciplines to ensure compliance with SWTC, State Records Act and Quality requirements
  • Plan and execute the transition of project specific processes to align with corporate processes (where possible) document review and mapping with internal stakeholders
  • Assist the SQE Systems Coordinator to identify quality documentation and system issues, ensuring that Records Management and Document Management is standardised

 

To be successful in this key role, you must have;

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience with quality management systems 
  • Proven experience using computer systems and software
  • A bachelor’s degree (or working towards) in Business, Communication is highly desirable
