About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our John Holland Rail team in WA.  This is a predominantly Fly In Fly Out position, providing support to FMG Eliwana Rail project on a 2/1 roster.  Point of hire is Perth.

Responsibilities of the role include (but are by no means limited to):
  • Estimating / tendering of project variation works
  • Managing project head contracts and subcontracts
  • Cost control and forecasting
  • Preparation of Project Financial and Commercial reporting
  • Preparing Project weekly report & monthly report
  • Project manhours reconciliation and report
  • Project Accounts Payable / Receivable functions
  • Data analysis
  • General project administrative duties
To be successful in this key role, you must have;
  • Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Economics, Engineering, Law, Commerce or equivalent
  • Relevant commercial administration experience in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or associated disciplines
  • 2-5 years’ experience working as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction and engineering industry
  • Experience with a variety of project values and complexity
  • Understanding of document control experience in accordance with records management procedures
  • Interpret and apply relevant legislation/code on the project to prevent potential business exposure
  • Experience in negotiating with Client and sub-contractors
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software packages such as Microsoft Suite (including Excel and Word) and exposure to a contract management system
