About the Role / Are you up for the challenge?
We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as a Document Controller with John Holland in Perth. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with an experienced manager, who is eager to pass on their expertise and help you grow your knowledge of the Western Australian construction industry.
As a Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of document control, ensuring the smooth flow of information and documentation throughout our projects. You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of documents, including design documentation, correspondence, safety reports, and more. Your attention to detail and organisation skills will be essential as you maintain registers, coordinate document reviews, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do;
- Managing document control processes, including receipt, storage, retrieval, and circulation of documents.
- Coordinating document workflow reviews and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Maintaining project-related registers and document control systems.
- Identifying and communicating issues with registered documents.
- Ensuring current versions of documents are maintained and issued to project parties.
- Managing storage and archiving of project and organizational records.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of documents.
- Assisting with quality control of project deliverable documents.
- Supporting the project administration team with tasks.
- Handling submissions and distribution of engineering and project deliverables.
To be successful in this key role, you must have / What we are looking for;
Qualifications:
- Higher School Certificate (WACE) or equivalent experience in Business or Administration
- Degree or post-secondary school training or TAFE certificate in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or other associated disciplines
Experience:
- Proven experience in document control or a Project Coordination role
- Experience in document management systems and implementation of new systems/processes
- Demonstrated experience working with Aconex
- Ability to work in a team across multiple projects and multitask
- Advanced computer skills, experience with MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of project management systems and processes within a project environment
