About the Role / Are you up for the challenge?

 

The Electrical Supervisor role at John Holland is a critical position within our projects, focusing on precision and safety in electrical works. This role is uniquely crafted to provide the successful candidate with a structured pathway to develop into a Test and Commissioning specialist. With an openness to change and adaptability being key, the successful applicant needs to be comfortable with relocating every swing, which may involve moving camps or changing networks across a variety of projects from minor to major in scale. While having prior supervisory experience in the rail industry would be advantageous, it is not essential. This FIFO role is based in the Pilbara, operating on a 2 and 1 roster from a Perth POH, with remote working allowances applicable.
 

Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do;

 

  • Supervise electrical installations, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards, with flexibility to move between different project sites as required.
  • Foster collaboration with project management to successfully meet project deliverables, adapting to various project scales and locations.
  • Execute and oversee quality assurance checks, compile comprehensive reports, and adapt to changing project environments.
  • Implement and uphold safety and compliance protocols, with an emphasis on Australian Standards and WHS regulations.
  • Take part in, and in time, lead test and commissioning activities, showcasing versatility across different project networks and camps.
  • Engage in a structured learning pathway with a blend of theoretical and practical experiences in test and commissioning.

To be successful in this key role, you must have / What we are looking for;

 

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in electrical projects within the construction industry, with flexibility to adapt to new locations each swing.
  • A proactive approach to safety and a thorough knowledge of Australian Standards and WHS regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, capable of navigating the dynamic project environments.
  • Eagerness to commit to a learning pathway and adaptability to change locations as per project requirements, enhancing exposure to diverse project challenges.
