About the Project

 

­John Holland is currently working on the BHP rail line project in the Pilbara region of Perth, focusing on enhancing the rail infrastructure to improve efficiency and safety. The project involves significant upgrades and maintenance to ensure the rail line meets the highest standards. This initiative is part of John Holland's broader commitment to delivering top-tier engineering solutions. This project is a FIFO project that works on a 2:1 rota.

About the Role

 

Reporting to the Test & Commissioning Lead, the Functional tester is responsible for undertaking testing and inspection activities to ensure compliance with design and standards, and suitable for handover.

Responsibilities of the role

 

  • ­    Undertake Functional testing of signalling systems and equipment
  • ­    Test and inspect activities of signalling systems.
  • ­    Undertake tests/checks to ensure compliance with design and specifications
  • ­    Undertake Functional testing and commissioning or level crossings
  • ­    Provide testing evidence for the work package and ensure all documentation and protocols are followed.
  • ­    Ensure all testing schemes are carried out in a safe manner.
  • ­    Ensure effective communication maintained with stakeholders

 

What we are looking for

 

Qualifications    

  •     Competent Functional/Lead Tester as per RIW
  • ­    Functional Tester IRSE Licence or working towards or RIW equivalent
  • ­    C Class Drivers Licence
  • ­    Construction Card
  • ­    WA “C” Class Electrical Trade Qualified (desirable)
  • ­    CERT IV Signalling (desirable)

        
        
Experience    

  •     Minimum 3 years’ experience
  • ­    Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  •     Experience on Pilbara Networks (preferable
