An opportunity has become available for an experienced Signalling Design Engineer to join the team in our Perth office.  Occasional travel to site will be required.

Responsibilities of the role include (but are by no means limited to);
•    Design rail signalling systems.
•    Contribute to overall management of the Rail Design services performed by design team. 
•    Support management of the delivery of the design of the various signalling projects.
•    Assist the scope development and tendering process by the engineering staff, as necessary, to support the procurement of the design consultants as well as third party reviewers.
•    Serve as primary interface with the design consultants in performing design reviews or addressing construction-related issues related to the signalling systems as and when required.
•    Regularly interact with the team to share and understand the on-going design and construction issues.
•    Maintain overall knowledge of drawings, specifications, general contracts and time schedules related to the various Rail Design works.
•    Ensure all Rail Design works are comprehensive and discussed with the various engineers for the best implementation and installation of services in coordination with other parties and contractor.
•    Provide necessary technical support to project management team ensuring the correctness and quality of implementation of requirements.
•    Understand and follow all related codes and their application to the project.
•    Understand and follow design standards, safety in design and design process.

To be successful in this key role, you must have;
•    Permanent Residence or Australian Citizen.
•    Tertiary engineering qualification & Railway Signalling Design experience.
•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a design role in the railway signalling industry.
•    Familiar with the current Australian Standards and Rail Industry Standards.
•    Proficient in planning, organising and working to timelines.
•    Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
•    Current Australian driver’s license.
