Make a difference on a high-profile project:

John Holland are delighted to have been selected to deliver the $1.5b M7 - M12 Interchange, which includes widening the M7 between the M5 at Prestons and Richmond Rd at Oakhurst, and building a new interchange between the M7 and M12 and an upgrade to Elizabeth Drive to connect it to the M12.

This major project will significantly improve travel times and road congestion for residents and improve freight movement throughout Western Sydney. The project will integrate the M7 with the new M12, a toll-free motorway connecting travellers to the new Western Sydney International Airport.

Your Role:

You will be responsible for the day-to-day environmental management and compliance of project sites, and overseeing junior staff to ensure environmental risks and hazards are mitigated. You will report into the Environmental and Sustainability Director and be responsible for the following:

 

  • Monitoring and reporting of environmental management system requirements
  • Implementing the Environmental Management Plan across the project
  • Supporting construction teams to ensure they meet their program within the constraints of environmental compliance
  • Government, contractor, stakeholder and community liaison
  • Training and development of staff in environmental compliance and impacts

In addition, you will bring to the team:

  • Previous experience managing the environmental deliverables on infrastructure, resource, or construction projects
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, Science, Environmental, Urban Planning
  • The ability to lead a team to achieve desirable outcomes whilst supporting project objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
