We are currently looking for a Survey Manager to join our team on MTMS located in Sydney CBD. As Survey Manager you will manage and coordinate all site-based surveying activities and methodologies to ensure assigned works are completed to  meet quality, time and profit objective and achieve a ‘best for project’ outcome.

 

Responsibilities of the role include;
­- Manage and coordinate all surveying requirements for the Next Rail Project, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (eg. ProjectWise)
­- Procure necessary resources for assigned projects
- Provide expert advice to the Next Rail team on the technical requirements of surveying, mapping and spatial information systems
­- Undertake computations and required checks to create set out data and 3D models
­- Assist in the implementation, monitoring and review of a construction management plan
­- Undertake research and development of surveying and photogrammetric measurement systems, cadastral systems and land information systems
­- Conduct site visits to ensure support is provided to delivery teams and correct methodologies are adhered to achieve project outcomes.
­- Conduct quality and compliance audits accordingly
-­ Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and take effective remedial action as required
­- Stakeholder management: Ensure that stakeholders are actively engaged and that beneficial relationships between the project and the client, subcontractors, community and other external parties are developed and maintained
­- People management: Establish and develop a high performance team to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets
­- Financial management: Ensure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue, take corrective action in line with JH’s authority and reporting frameworks and maximise the profit margin for the project
­- Create, update and maintain the survey model
­- Manage/coordinate additional survey investigations in accordance with DEXP requirements, TfNSW Digital Engineering Survey Requirements Guide DMS-SD-142/1.0 and any monitoring plans (eg. settlement monitoring during construction of Mascot cable tunnel)
­- Create, update and maintain Detailed Site Survey (DSS) during construction
­- Support preparation of Works as Executed (WAE) Drawings


To be successful in this key role, you must have;
­- Minimum 10 years’ experience in surveying on a construction projects (Rail preferable)
­- Contemporary practices in surveying methodology
­- Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science,Engineering, Construction or equivalent.\ Advanced financial management including cost reduction and meeting budgets
­- Development and delivery of a process and/or product system of audits and schedules
