About John Holland
We are currently looking for experienced Power & Electrical Engineers to join our team based in Seven Hills. Reporting to the Power Systems & Electrical lead, the role will support our Rail Infrastructure Services business as well as John Hollands Major Projects.
We are looking for applicants across all levels of experience in Power & Electrical Engineering. We are interested in tailoring the role to you and your experience.
As our projects are spread interstate we are looking for people able to travel to support our scope of works as part of the role.
The successful candidate will provide onsite engineering services and technical support to ensure our programme of works is completed on time and to budget. For this role there will be potential requirement for nightshift as well as weekend work. Applicants must have strong people skills dealing with both colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the role include:
-Conduct and administer overall job planning and programming including short range and intermediate activities for construction projects for approval by the Project Manager
-Financial management skills including demonstrated behaviour in reducing costs and meeting budgets
-Verify subcontractors’ claims and variations
-Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required by the Site Manager
-Maintain drawing register controls for the project
-Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes
-Demonstrate people management skills by being able to manage work and performance of teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
-Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical), Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent
-Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience in Power Systems & Electrical field, preferably with ASP 1 & 2 experience
-Skill in use of document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance and procedures
