About the Project
John Holland is progressing the development of Stage 1A of the multi-stage Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal project, a pivotal development set to transform the logistics landscape in Victoria, Australia. This initial phase marks the beginning of a journey towards creating a state-of-the-art facility that will streamline the movement of goods across the nation and beyond.
Strategically located to harness the full potential of its proximity to key transport links, Beveridge is poised to deliver unparalleled efficiencies in the distribution of freight. With the latest advancements in logistics technology at its core, Stage 1A lays the groundwork for a hub of innovation, ensuring that cargo is moved with unprecedented speed and precision.

About the Role
This role is responsible for managing all engineering-related interfaces across design, construction, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
This role focuses on coordinating technical aspects between various disciplines and stakeholders, resolving interface issues, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, timelines, and safety standards.
Responsibilities of the role include
- Identify, document, and manage engineering interfaces between all project disciplines, designers and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication between internal and external project teams.
- Coordinate technical inputs and outputs between design and construction teams to ensure alignment with project scope and requirements.
- Monitor and manage risks associated with engineering interfaces
- Ensure technical compliance with relevant Australian Standards, Victorian Rail standards, and John Holland policies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for engineering interface matters with external stakeholders, including the client, sub-contractors (where applicable), and rail operators.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure efficient resolution of interface issues.
- Prepare and present reports and updates on engineering interface progress to stakeholders and project leadership teams and the client.
- Identify potential engineering interface risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Resolve conflicts or technical issues that arise.
- Ensure all engineering interfaces contribute to project safety and quality goals.
- Ensure all engineering interfaces are documented and comply with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interface agreements, approvals, and changes.
- Ensure deliverables align with project schedules and milestones.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical specialists involved in the design and delivery.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and problem-solving across the project team.
- Promote John Holland’s values of safety, integrity, collaboration, and excellence.
To be successful in this role we are looking for
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in rail projects
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
- Demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with Victorian rail industry standards and practices is highly desirable
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and operational readiness is highly desirable
