About the Project

 

John Holland is progressing the development of Stage 1A of the multi-stage Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal project, a pivotal development set to transform the logistics landscape in Victoria, Australia. This initial phase marks the beginning of a journey towards creating a state-of-the-art facility that will streamline the movement of goods across the nation and beyond.

 

Strategically located to harness the full potential of its proximity to key transport links, Beveridge is poised to deliver unparalleled efficiencies in the distribution of freight. With the latest advancements in logistics technology at its core, Stage 1A lays the groundwork for a hub of innovation, ensuring that cargo is moved with unprecedented speed and precision.

About the Role

 

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Buildings to join the Beveridge Intermodal Project team. This role will initially support variation and pre‑delivery works, before transitioning into the main delivery phase of the project.

 

You will play a key role in managing building-related scopes and working closely with construction, commercial and design teams to ensure safe, high‑quality and efficient delivery.

 

Responsibilities of the role include

 

  • Managing the planning and delivery of building and structural building works
  • Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to achieve program, cost and quality outcomes
  • Preparing and managing ITPs, work packs, permits and technical documentation
  • Supporting cost control, forecasting, variations and progress claims
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality requirements
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across design, construction and project controls
  • Contributing to a strong safety culture aligned with John Holland values

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer (Buildings) on major infrastructure or complex construction projects
  • Strong understanding of building construction methodologies and sequencing
  • Sound commercial awareness and experience working to budgets and programs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on safety, quality and delivery excellence
