About the Project:

John Holland is progressing the development of Stage 1A of the multi-stage Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal (BIFT) project, a pivotal development set to transform the logistics landscape in Victoria, Australia. This initial phase marks the beginning of a journey towards creating a state-of-the-art facility that will streamline the movement of goods across the nation and beyond.

Strategically located to harness the full potential of its proximity to key transport links, BIFT is poised to deliver unparalleled efficiencies in the distribution of freight. With the latest advancements in logistics technology at its core, Stage 1A lays the groundwork for a hub of innovation, ensuring that cargo is moved with unprecedented speed and precision.

About the Role / Are you up for the challenge?

We at John Holland are in pursuit of a dynamic Project Manager to lead Stage 1A of the Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal (BIFT) project, a pivotal enterprise set to revolutionise the logistical framework within Victoria and across Australia. This role calls for a leader who can steer the project with strategic vision, integrating cutting-edge logistics technology, and ensuring adherence to our deep-rooted commitment to sustainability. As Project Manager, you will be at the helm of an initiative that not only enhances freight distribution but also generates economic prosperity and job opportunities. Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do;

• Oversee the successful delivery of Stage 1A of the BIFT project, managing all facets of construction and operation to meet or exceed project milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources, ensuring they align with John Holland's strategic objectives and project requirements.
• Implement robust project governance and risk management frameworks to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, maintaining the highest levels of health, safety, and environmental management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability within the project team and broader organisation.
• Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders, including progress reports, budget forecasting, and risk assessments.
• Navigate the complexities of a large-scale infrastructure project with a focus on delivering outcomes that contribute to the long-term success of the BIFT development.
   

To be successful in this key role, you must have / What we are looking for;

• A tertiary degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are highly regarded.
• Extensive experience in project management roles within the construction, infrastructure, or logistics industries.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding project outcomes.
• A strategic thinker with a proven track record in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage expectations and build lasting relationships.
• A detailed understanding of health and safety legislation, environmental policies, and the importance of sustainable practices in project delivery.
• Exceptional organisational skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and adapt to the changing needs of the project.
• A commitment to upholding the values and standards of John Holland, with a focus on integrity, collaboration, and excellence.
