About the Project

 

John Holland is progressing the development of Stage 1A of the multi-stage Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal project, a pivotal development set to transform the logistics landscape in Victoria, Australia. This initial phase marks the beginning of a journey towards creating a state-of-the-art facility that will streamline the movement of goods across the nation and beyond.

 

Strategically located to harness the full potential of its proximity to key transport links, Beveridge is poised to deliver unparalleled efficiencies in the distribution of freight. With the latest advancements in logistics technology at its core, Stage 1A lays the groundwork for a hub of innovation, ensuring that cargo is moved with unprecedented speed and precision.

About the Role

 
We’re seeking a Site Engineer – Utilities to coordinate and deliver utility works across Stage 1A of Beveridge, working closely with design, construction and authority stakeholders.
 
 

Responsibilities of the role include

 

Overall responsibility for the role on this high-profile major project includes:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution utilities construction activities.
  • Ensure that all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor performance, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Prepare and review work method statements, risk assessments, and other project documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with safety and design standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical issues and drive project efficiency.
  • Support the preparation of project reports, schedules, and progress tracking.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, innovation, and teamwork.
  • Work closely with the Project Engineer and works Supervisors in striving for the common project outcomes

 

To be successful in this role we are looking for

 

  • Degree in Civil/Utilities/Infrastructure Engineering (or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering multi-utility works (water, sewer, power, gas, comms, drainage) on major transport/rail or precinct projects.
  • Proven stakeholder coordination with authorities and third-party asset owners.
  • Strong safety culture and understanding of service proving/protection and permits.
