About the Project
North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of four Alliance partners – John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals.
Since 2017, NWPA has had a proven track record with the successful delivery of eight level crossing removal projects (13 LX) and several premium stations, with two projects currently in delivery (4 LX) and three in development phase.

We're looking for a Senior Safety Advisor to play a crucial role in developing and implementing a strong safety culture within our project development and early works team. This role will be based in Sunshine, VIC with the requirement to go to different sites from time to time.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide Health and Safety specialist advice and technical input to delivery, ensuring that legal, contractual obligations and risks are identified and communicated appropriately.
- Coordinate and conduct investigation into workplace incidents.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and monitoring work areas.
- Maintain professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, regulatory bodies and clients.
- Monitor and evaluate the project Health and Safety programs for value and effectiveness.
- Evaluate, investigate and gather information that will address inadequacies concerning safety matters.
- Review specific high risk planned works to be undertaken to ensure compliance with the method of work.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a Senior Safety Advisor position on large infrastructure projects.
- Safety experience within the rail environment is highly regarded.
- Diploma in Work Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Knowledge and skills in safety management techniques and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- People focused with the ability to build strong relationships.
