About the Opportunity

We are seeking a high performing Business Intelligence Analyst who has a passion for data-driven insights and creative data visualisation skills. Reporting to the IT Business Intelligence Manager, your role will be focused on advancing our business intelligence capabilities through high-quality dashboarding and data modelling solutions and play a key role in the evolution of our new data platform.


This is an exciting time to be part of the John Holland IT team as we are on a digital transformation journey where you will be key in supporting existing business intelligence solutions as well as shaping our new data platforms.

 

What Will You Bring?

  • Working experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Stack - SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Strong analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive and independent working style.
  • Demonstrated excellence in problem solving and decision making.
  • A high degree of troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.

 

What Experience You Have to Help us Succeed?

  • Design and develop data models using SQL Server Analysis Services to support reporting and self-service analysis by end-users.
  • Contribute to the support, maintenance and evolution of our data platforms including data lake and data warehouse solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Independently facilitate meetings/workshops with internal stakeholders.
  • Self-manage and prioritise work tasks.
  • Interact collaboratively with a wide range of internal stakeholders throughout the organisation.
  • Produce high quality requirements documentation, specifications and mock-ups.
