About the role

We are interested in hearing from a Cost Controller ideally with experience on a major infrastructure project with exposure to design, construction and commissioning. In this role you will assist with end-to-end management of costs and risks of the project, ensuring that all internal requirements and company policies and processes are complied with.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist with end-to-end cost management of the project
  • Ensure cost control procedures are applied and costs are properly allocated
  • Implement and maintain cost breakdown structures
  • Develop, maintain and implement change management processes
  • Lead and maintain Budgeting and Forecasting for the project
  • Earned Value analysis and reporting
  • Prepare and process monthly accruals and cost recoveries, transfers and produce project reports
  • Assist with updating risk and opportunities management system on monthly basis
  • Accounts payable and receivable and supervision
  • Provide adhoc and regular monthly reports as requested
  • Build strong relationships with key design, engineering and construction personnel
  • Liaise with site personnel daily
  • Preparing production statistics
  • Production of weekly report, monthly reports, monthly presentations for review by commercial manager and project director

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Business / Commerce or relevant discipline
  • 3-5 years’ experience within a similar role on a Major Infrastructure project
  • Someone who has a high attention to detail and understands the importance of accuracy is essential
  • Solid time management skills and delivery on time is non-negotiable
  • Someone who will self-evaluate themselves, making sure their work is correct as part of the role is checking and challenging other works
  • An eager attitude with the willingness to learn and grow with a national company
  • A team player, who is easy to communicate with, can build rapport not only with the design team, but also with our construction and engineering departments
  • Microsoft Suite experience is essential; Advance excel (including Macro’s) / Power BI experience highly regarded
