Are you up for the challenge?

We are currently looking for a passionate National Events & Sponsorships Lead to join our Customer & Corporate Affairs team. 

This exciting new role will lead events for John Holland, ranging from an annual gala awards dinner through to external customer functions.

This position will help bring to life some key national and state-based sponsorships and partnerships, finding ways to activate and promote the John Holland brand – Transforming Lives.

This role is offered as a 12-month contract.

About the Role:

  • Lead and deliver key corporate events, relying on your proven experience, exceptional attention to detail, planning, delegation, quick uptake of process and confidence navigating new systems and technology
  • Proactively seek out creative ways to raise the John Holland brand with key audiences through sponsorships and partnerships
  • Assist with ideation and development of event, sponsorship and partnership opportunities
  • Implement and deliver on partnership agreements with a clear roadmap, stakeholder management and milestone delivery of tasks to include go to market, marketing and PR plans, brand activation, customer journey and tech integration to ensure a successful roll-out
  • Measure the success of partnerships agreements based on pre-agreed KPIs
  • Ensure brand guidelines and messaging are applied consistently and to a high quality
  • Partner with key stakeholders within John Holland, including CEO, Executive members, BDs, Project leads, customer and communications teams
  • Build a positive reputation for Customer & Corporate Affairs as a trusted business partner and thought leader
  • Push creative boundaries and take our well-respected brand and relationships to the next level.

About You:

We are looking for a creative and ‘outside the box’ thinker who has a clear and confident communication style.

To succeed in this role you will be a person who builds rapport and credibility easily and will thrive managing a range of competing priorities and projects.

You will have a qualification in Events, PR, Marketing (or related discipline) or equivalent proven experience.  A demonstrated background in creating and delivering successful events and partnership strategies is essential.
