About the Opportunity

Our Survey & Geospatial team provides specialist solutions to support both pre-contracts and delivery across our Infrastructure, Rail and Building business units, including major projects. This is a unique opportunity to apply your geospatial expertise and industry knowledge within the fast-paced AEC sector.

You’ll collaborate closely with design, construction, bid and delivery teams to deliver practical geospatial solutions that make a real impact on how projects are planned, managed and executed. This is an opportunity to be part of a team that influences how geospatial capability is applied and integrates across the business, working in tenders and live projects.

Location is flexible and can be based in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

What You Will Do

• Deliver robust geospatial solutions by establishing scalable systems, tools, and workflows tailored to AEC project requirements across pre‑contract and project delivery phases
• Support consistent and effective geospatial data management across all project disciplines, stakeholders and delivery phases.
• Provision, administer, and maintain robust geospatial systems and tool environments to ensure high availability and performance. Work with designers, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to facilitate data exchange
• Lead innovation, improvement initiatives and lessons learned within geospatial continuously improve geospatial data and application delivery.
• Identify and implement geospatial opportunities to drive operational efficiency, enhance sustainability, mitigate safety risks, and boost project productivity.

What We’re Looking For

• GIS and geospatial delivery on large, multi‑disciplinary construction or engineering projects
• Understanding of design and construction workflows, including pre‑contracts and tender environments
• Experience with common geospatial systems, survey and/or digital engineering platforms (e.g. ESRI, FME, Autodesk, Bentley, 12D or similar)
• Expertise in automating spatial workflows and implementing seamless data integrations using APIs and modern scripting techniques like ArcPy
• Experience with Enterprise GIS system administration
• Exposure to spatial data management, analysis and reporting
• Experience supporting or working within common data environments and integrated project systems
• Ability to communicate geospatial concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders
• Highly desirable to have experience across a broad range of geospatial platforms, systems and common data environments as well as experience in areas such as utilities management, construction planning, permitting processes and automations/ integrations with IT fundamentals

What You’ll Bring

• Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor
• A solid foundation in GIS and geospatial principles, including building and managing spatial datasets incorporating client, authority, survey, design and construction operation data. Experience with various Client GIS deliverables across different regions
• Knowledge and application of how geospatial systems can influence risk and effective project delivery
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a practical, delivery‑focused mindset
• A proactive approach, with the confidence to engage stakeholders, identify opportunities and drive solutions
• The ability to work independently within a central team while supporting multiple fast‑paced project environments
