We have a unique opportunity for a Group Manager Corporate Communications to join our Customer & Corporate Affairs team. This position can be based in our Melbourne or Sydney office.
This role will lead John Holland’s corporate communications strategy, including celebrating project achievements, building our people’s pride and engagement, and supporting work winning.
You will manage internal and external content, internal channels, and engagement approaches for the business – including coaching leaders and advising the Executive on issues management, business strategy and priorities.

About the Role
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Executive, senior leaders and SMEs in the business to understand key issues/challenges, strategic direction and priorities.
- Advise Executive on communications strategy, narrative and approach.
- Advise, support and influence leaders to communicate effectively with their teams and in line with our business strategy, brand and values.
- Be a champion of employees and represent employees’ voice in strategic discussions and decisions impacting our people.
- Lead the strategy and delivery of John Holland internal communications, including intranet, Viva Engage, corporate events and leader/all employee communications.
- Lead and develop content across internal and external channels, supporting John Holland to win and deliver projects and build pride in our people.
- Work as a senior leader in the broader Customer & Corporate Affairs function, driving integrated stakeholder and communications strategies to enhance and protect John Holland's relationships with customers its brand and reputation.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide incident and crisis communications response with Executive leadership.
- Understand business culture, mood and what resonates through stakeholder engagement, data and insights.
- Drive creative, best practice ideas and approaches to ensure John Holland engagement remains best in class and fit for purpose.
- Help close the gap between projects, business units and corporate when it comes to communications– ensuring our diverse and dispersed employees are all considered and engaged.
About You:
You will have a tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related discipline. You will have significant experience leading communications in large, complex and diverse organisations, with expertise in issues management and change.
You will have extensive experience managing and influencing senior stakeholders. Your experience in leading effective and engaged teams, along with your clear and confident written and verbal communication style, will help you succeed in the role.
