About the opportunity

John Holland is currently seeking 2x Management Accountants to play a key part in our Infrastructure and Major Projects Finance department based in Pyrmont, NSW. We are looking for pro-active, adaptable, and pragmatic individuals to take on either of the below positions: 

 

Position 1: Management Accountant - Tenders


Responsibilities of the role include;

  • Prepare financial and corporate reports including variance analysis.
  • Assist Bid Managers with cost control and reporting.
  • Provide financial expertise and information for bid submissions.
  • Preparation of tender cost accruals and recoveries.
  • Negotiation and preparation of cost sharing agreements with Bid partners.
  • Manage external and internal cost sharing / recoveries and reimbursements.
  • Budgeting & forecasting.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements.

 

Position 2: Management Accountant – Major Projects 


Responsibilities of the role include;

  • Prepare financial and corporate reports including variance analysis.
  • Preparation of monthly Project Financial Reports.
  • Raise cost reimbursement claims and invoices to Joint Venture projects.
  • Manage any reimbursement issues with Joint Ventures. 
  • Budgeting & forecasting. 
  • Assistance with negotiation and establishment of Joint Venture Agreements.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements.

 

To be successful in either roles, you must have: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in discipline relevant to function area, e.g. accounting.
  • CA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience within the construction industry, major industrial organisation, or adjacent sectors to construction.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial and management accounting including joint ventures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
