We are currently looking for a People Advisor to join our Rail & Transport People team. As our People Advisor you will work closely with stakeholders providing HR advice on matters such as recruitment, on-boarding, training and development, performance management, remuneration and cultural diversity.

This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Responsibilities of the role include:
-Provide consistent and compliant human resources and employee relations advice across operational areas
-Advise and support managers on employee relations matters including grievances, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and performance management
-Support the coordination and roll out of the annual performance cycle, talent management and succession planning
-Assist to obtain recommendations on salary benchmarking and remunerations packages
-Support organisational design and workforce planning activities and work with recruitment team to onboard required personnel in a timely manner
-Manage accurate information on the HRIS and provide reports and data analysis across a range of HR metrics
-Build strong and practical relationships with operational managers in order to achieve high performance outcomes
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
-Degree or higher in Business, Human Resource Management, Legal, Finance or other associated disciplines
-3-5 years experience in a generalist human resources position or related discipline
-Experience in the construction, transport or engineering sector desirable
-Proven understanding of Employment Law, Employee Relations and National and State regulatory frameworks
-Demonstrated experience in coordinating investigations, performance management, disciplinary processes and termination of employment
-Ability to work as part of a team and also as an individual, taking initiative to deliver outcomes
