About the role:
We’re currently looking for a highly driven, organised and proactive individual to join our Procurement Infrastructure and Major Projects Pre-Contracts team in a Procurement Coordinator position, based in Pyrmont, Sydney.
Reporting into our Procurement Manager, Infrastructure and Major Projects Pre-Contracts, you’ll work in a supportive and empowering environment to set you up for success. Working as part of the Procurement Infrastructure and Major Projects Pre-Contracts team, you’ll provide key support in maintaining business processes, collaboration, planning and organising of procurement data and building strong working relationships with your relevant key stakeholders internally and externally.
What you will do:
- Responsible for setting up procurement schedules that are developed and up to date throughout the bid process
- Identify all potential subcontractors and supplies using market research and contacts with interstate estimating teams and preferred Supplier list
- Issue out comprehensive RFQ to the market in line with the approved Procurement Strategy
- Manage any clarifications from external stakeholders
- Liaising with external and internal stakeholders to build successful relationships
- Prepare and Manage the Procurement Management Plan
- Prepare and issue correspondence with subcontractors including contribution and unsuccessful letters
- Liaise with estimating / construction team to ensure that procurement documents are completed in a timely manner
- Ensure that quotes come back in the correct time frame
- Ensuring our strategy aligns with best practice – utilizing local content, indigenous communities where possible and are committed to social procurement
- Ensure following the precontracts process efficiently

- Self-motivated with the ability to work within a team or autonomously
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to manage stress and work-load under pressure
- Able to handle several tasks at once and meet multiple deadlines
