About the Role

Our national Rail business are seeking an experienced Business Development Analyst to join the team.  Based out of Pyrmont, the primary purpose of this role is to support the team to win new and profitable work by being an integral part of the Pre-Contracts function.  Reporting directly to the General Manager Pre-Contracts, this position will work closely with team members, business unit colleagues and the corporate functions to execute growth strategies.

Responsibilities of the role include (but are by no means limited to);

  • Provide analytical support to relevant department functions including the development of FY annual budget planning, monthly forecasting, performance analysis and resource planning
  • Cost controlling over various tender budgets.
  • Act as a key liaison for the Rail pre-contracts business unit and ensure alignment and collaboration with other BU’s and Corporate.
  • Maintain data integrity and compliance across various systems including Salesforce, PCR.
  • Create visual, meaningful, and user-friendly dashboards for presentation to all levels of the John Holland business.
  • Formulate and prepare presentations to share findings and recommendations for divisional and senior management, critical to decision making processes.
  • Develop knowledge and relationships with key business units to promote and maintain streamline efficiencies.

To be successful in this key role, you must have;

  • Proficiency in accounting (part/full qualification)
  • Relevant analytical experience
  • Several years working experience in a large organisation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter with solid work ethic
  • Knowledge of the rail sector (desirable not essential)
