About the Role
- Coordinate and manage white‑collar rail safety competency assessments, including initial assessments, renewals and recertification cycles.
- Track competency expiry dates and coordinate renewals and re‑certification activities.
- Coordinate gap assessments when individuals change roles or responsibilities, working with relevant stakeholders to ensure competency requirements are met.
- Administer and maintain accurate competency records across relevant rail training and compliance systems, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
- Support the end‑to‑end rail competency and assurance process, including onboarding, role changes and ongoing monitoring.
- Liaise with internal teams, projects and subject matter experts to coordinate assessments, documentation and approvals.
- Ensure competency records are captured, stored and updated in line with John Holland procedures and rail accreditation requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve training and competency processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Training Academy.
- Provide clear guidance to stakeholders on competency status, requirements and next steps.
About You
You’ll bring strong coordination and administrative capability, along with a methodical approach to managing compliance‑based processes.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Experience in an administration or coordination role, preferably within a regulated or compliance‑focused environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confidence working with systems and databases, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- An interest in training, competency or assurance functions.
- Experience working with the Rail Industry Worker (RIW) system or similar competency / compliance systems is beneficial
