Are you up for the challenge? 

We are currently seeking a Safety/Training Advisor to take on this dual purpose role supporting with HSE related matters and managing the delivery of training within the Rail Plant Services team. This role can either be based in Seven Hills, NSW or Spotswood, VIC.

Responsibilities of the role include:
•    Lead by example with enhancing and promoting a strong safety culture within the Rail Plant Services team and internal/external clients
•    Monitor/measure safety and training performance against project systems, objectives and JHG requirements
•    Identify lead and lag indicators in regard to safety implement initiatives to prevent risk 
•    Provide support with incident investigations  
•    Identify, monitor and communicate an annual training needs analysis plan
•    Develop training/assessment documentation & coordinate delivery of required training to the Rail Plant Services team 
•    Conduct training and coaching including the Verification of Competency (VOC) process 


To be successful in this key role, you must have:
•    Certificate IV or Diploma in workplace training and assessment.
•    Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS (Quality, Safety, Environmental, Project Management or other associated disciplines).
•    Experience in a safety and training role within the rail or construction industry 
•    Proven experience in delivering training
•    Knowledge of contemporary practice and WHS processes
•    Previous experience managing incident investigations
•    Strong people management skills with the ability to communicate effectively
