About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior HSC Advisor – Safety to join the team delivering the landmark Penrith Stadium Redevelopment—a $300M+ project transforming the existing venue into a modern, world-class stadium and entertainment precinct in
Western Sydney.
Working as part of a high-performing project team, you will play a critical role in ensuring safety outcomes are achieved across all
construction phases, supporting the delivery of this major infrastructure project safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
About You
You will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety, Construction, Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience working on major construction or infrastructure projects ($100M+), ideally within a stadium, building, or complex Tier 1 environment.
- Strong operational and commercial awareness, with the ability to balance safety outcomes with programme and budget requirements.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects safely, on schedule, and to high-quality standards.
- A solid understanding of project management systems, including Safety, Quality, Environmental and design processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and review relevant safety and design information to ensure risks are identified and effectively controlled across construction activities.
- Monitor safety performance, quality of works, and site conditions, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, project safety plans, and construction specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure safe systems of work are implemented and maintained across all work packages.
- Provide technical safety leadership and guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and junior safety staff to ensure project objectives are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Track and report on safety performance, incidents, corrective actions, and project progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Support the management of on-site safety functions across multiple work fronts, including collaboration with Project Engineers and supervisors.
- Review subcontractor safety documentation (SWMS, risk assessments, permits) and ensure adherence to project and legislative requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimise risk.
- Facilitate toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safety training to drive workforce engagement and a strong safety culture.

- The ability to identify, assess, and manage safety, environmental, and quality risks across complex construction activities.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Experience managing subcontractors and supporting overall project team performance.
- Well-developed organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands on a dynamic construction site.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to fostering a strong, positive safety culture.
