We are currently looking for an experienced and energetic Senior People Advisor to join the rail team


As Senior people advisor you will provide people and culture advice to the Team, which includes guidance on people management activities including; recruitment, on-boarding, training and development, remuneration, cultural initiatives and other people matters.


Responsibilities of the role include;
 - Provide general assistance to the project in the implementation of people strategies.
 - Assist any review and analysis of company policies and practices, to ensure they continue to support project deliverables
 - Coaching and supporting leaders to improve their own performance & effectiveness as well as that of their teams
 - Participate and contribute to people and culture projects
 - Supports the People and Inclusion Manager on the implementation of people initiatives
 - Implementation of employee life cycle processes
 - Provide advice and support to employees and leaders on people related concerns or enquiries
 - Make remuneration recommendations on salary packages for new starters and promotions
 - Build and encourage a positive workplace culture on the project.
 - Facilitation of people and culture focused workshops
 - Support wellbeing initiatives across the project
 - Build a collaborative relationship with broader people teams in relation to learning and development, talent, employee relations and  remuneration.


To be successful in this key role, you must have;
 - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or Psychology
 - Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in human resources
 - Experience working in heavy industry, or construction
 - Experience in people improvement initiatives,
 - Able to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and proven experience as a trusted advisor to the business
 - Strong generalist knowledge in remuneration, recruitment and onboarding
 - Ability to solve problems and identify process improvements
 - An open and flexible mindset to get involved when needed as part of a collaborative team
