Senior Safety Advisor - MTMS

We are currently looking for a senior Safety Advisor to join our team on MTMS. 

Responsibilities of the role include;
-You will assist with the running of the Workplace, Health and Rail Safety  function under general supervision and implement safety practices, systems and procedures within a complex rail environment
-Provide support to WHS&RS Manager in implementing established Safety Systems on site.
-Provide expert advice relating to Safety practices, systems and procedures to MTMS senior site supervisors and superintendents within specific to the rail environment
-Administer and effectively facilitate education and compliance programs for employees, contractors and visitors.
-Provide full support to the established HSE Committees.
-Initiate and coordinate accredited training programs for HSE committee members and first aid officers.
-Conduct site safety inspections and support MTMS WHS&RS Manager in external and internal safety audits
-Manage development and implementation of WRA and assist the WHS&RS Manager in leading the development and implementation of prevention programs.
-Conduct return to work coordinator activities.
-Assist in providing specialist advice on Safety Interface coordination.
-Provide direction and support to the Project Learning and Development Team to ensure all project workers hold required competencies as per JHG standards.
-Coordinate and undertake the investigation of Safety related occurrences and events and provide specialist advice on corrective actions.
-Maintain records of all Safety requirements, in accordance with legislative company requirements and provide statistical summaries of these records.

To be successful in this key role, you must have;
-Diploma of Work Health and Safety or equivalent;
-Rail Construction safety management (5+ years);
-Experience in conducting and interpreting audit reviews;
-Experience monitoring, reviewing and reporting on performance, compliance and defects; and
-Experience in complex high risk rail environments.
