Project Engineer - Signalling

We are currently seeking an experienced Signalling Project Engineer with a consistent track record working on railway signalling construction projects compliant to TfNSW/ASA and/or ARTC standards to expand our railway signalling capability.

Primarily project based, you will deliver signalling works on rail projects within NSW.

 

Duties will include:

- Responsibility for the total engineering performance of a project

- Hands on management of the design process

- Working closely with the delivery team to meet project deadlines

- Manage Project budgets, Project schedules, resourcing, and procurement activities

- Sub-contractor management

- Provide Technical advice

- Mentoring junior staff

- Coordinate with the Rail Signalling interfaces (incl local signalling representatives) to ensure design, project and budget requirements are met

- Ensuring works are delivered safely at all times

- Assist with the development of tenders, bid proposals, financial statements and cost estimation

 

Applicants should possess,

- Sound railway knowledge, with a signalling bias. Experience of NSW client base and signalling solutions is desirable

- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or similar

- A solid signalling construction background in the Australian sector. Minimum 3 years

- Possess leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop people, processes

- Demonstrated ability in managing stakeholders.

- Comprehensive knowledge of safety legislation, policy, processes and practices

- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, operations, services and activities of construction and rail engineering programs

- A Statement of Competency from ARTC / Sydney Trains and/or membership of a recognised tertiary society (e.g. PMI, IRSE, Engineers Australia, RTSA) will be highly regarded.
