About the Role
We are currently looking to appoint a Submissions Manager to join our team in Sydney or Brisbane. Reporting to the Group Manager Submissions NSW/QLD/ACT & NT, you will be responsible for managing the production of EOI and Tender submissions to secure new business as well as contribute to overall bid strategy and completion of submissions.
Manage submissions from end-to-end including pre-release, development, submission and post submission phases ensuring all client requirements have been addressed and compliant bids submitted on time. Lead the bid strategy development, identification and integration of strategy into responses and manage the development of the Executive Summary. Manage submission team on bids to provide tailored, compliant responses and drive the implementation of Submissions processes, tools and templates while educating stakeholders on the benefits of the Submissions Team capabilities.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Lead and facilitate Project Development/Bid Managers through bid strategy workshop process to develop win themes and key messages.
- In conjunction with Bid Writer oversee the strategic content development of bids and proposals during the Bid Planning, Bid Delivery and Post Submission phases.
- Manage bid specific SharePoint site, including protecting security and managing access requests.
- Tailor bid development processes, e.g. Writing & Graphics Style Guides and Lead Author Response Outlines in conjunction with Bid Writer.
- Work with the Graphic Designer to develop graphics and bid branding that illustrate win strategies.
- Review and interrogate bid content to ensure high-quality and compliant submissions.
- Coach and influence bid teams to implement the submission process and enforce the use of Submissions tools and templates.
- Provide excellent customer service across all business units.
- Manage and monitor progress against writing plans, identify and enforce key submission milestones.
- Maintain current knowledge and application of trends, technology and or processes as they relate to best practice bids and submissions and mentor Submission Coordinators.
- Management of Industry award submissions and national and state-based prequalification submissions.
- Managing the submission resources allocated to their bids.
- Monitoring progress against key milestones, resolving issues and/or escalating issues if required.
- Enforcing submission process and implementation of tools and templates.
To be successful in this key role, you must have;
- Tertiary degree (Bachelor or above) e.g. Marketing, Commerce, Business, Media & Communications, Law or equivalent.
- 6+ years’ experience successfully leading and managing people
- 8+ years’ experience in a submission related role – management/writing
- Excellent command of the English language and high-quality writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Proven experience successfully working to deadlines while effectively managing stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experienced managing bids using SharePoint.
