Are you up for the challenge?

We are looking for an experienced Submissions Manager to join our submissions group.  This role will be based out of the Pyrmont office in Sydney.

This position will see you managing submissions from end-to-end, including pre-release, development, submission, and post submission phases, ensuring all client requirements have been addressed and compliant bids submitted on time.

You will manage submissions teams on bids to provide tailored and compliant responses, whilst working with the bid team to identify and develop win strategies, ensuring integration throughout the response documents.

About the Role

  • Lead and facilitate Project Development/Bid Managers through the bid strategy process to develop win themes and key messages.
  • In conjunction with Bid Writer, oversee the strategic content development of bids and proposals during the bid planning, bid delivery and post submission phases.
  • Manage bid specific SharePoint sites, including protecting security and managing access requests.
  • Tailor bid development processes, e.g. Writing & Graphics Style Guides and Lead Author Response Outlines in conjunction with Bid Writer.
  • Work with the Graphic Designer to develop graphics and bid branding that illustrate win strategies.
  • Review and interrogate bid content to ensure high-quality and compliant submissions.
  • Coach and influence bid teams to implement the submission process and enforce the use of Submissions tools and templates.
  • Drive and manage the review process including identifying relevant reviewers, facilitate review workshops and sign-off process.
  • Create positive stakeholder relationships to enhance the development of bids and proposals where stakeholders value the benefits the Submissions Team provide in best-practice bids.
  • Develop and mentor team to continually improve submission best-practice.
  • Develop, write and edit bids and proposals aligned to win strategies and John Holland business strategy, branding and market position.
  • Collaboratively work with SMEs to develop compliant responses.
  • Continually strive to drive efficiencies and improve submission best-practice.
  • Drive and educate bid teams to effectively utilise Submissions standard processes.
  • Perform key accountabilities of Submission Coordinator and Writer as required.

About You

As a seasoned Submissions Manager, you will have extensive experience in a submission related role.  A degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Communications, law, or equivalent is desirable together with substantial experience successfully leading and managing people.

You have an excellent command of the English language and have high-quality writing, editing, and proofreading skills.  You can demonstrate advanced proficiency in MS Office with Adobe Creative suite exposure being advantageous.

Your proven experience successfully working to deadlines while effectively managing stakeholders will set you up for success in the role.
