The Project:
Sydney Metro West is a transformational 24 km underground railway connecting Sydney CBD to Parramatta, with stations at Westmead, Parramatta, Sydney Olympic Park, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock, The Bays, Pyrmont and Hunter Street.
The Linewide package connects the entire system, delivering the critical rail infrastructure and technology that bring the metro network to life.
Project offices are located across several Sydney locations including the CBD, Clyde, Rosehill, The Bays and Burwood North.
About The Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Testing, Commissioning & Operational Readiness Manager to join our Sydney Metro West Linewide Project. Position will report to the Deputy Project Director.
This position will see you drive the delivery and implementation of commissioning and operational readiness activities in accordance with the Project Management Plan, Testing and Commissioning Management Plan, Head Contract Project Requirements, relative Sydney Metro and Operator Standards through all stages of the Sydney Metro West Linewide Project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Testing, Commissioning and Operational Readiness Strategies, Programmes, Plans, Schedules & Templates in accordance with project requirements. These must also consider all outside program dependencies and constraints that could impact Completion.
- Ensure that the process of testing, commissioning & operational readiness preparation and execution is managed, planned, documented, resourced and executed meeting stakeholders technical requirements as defined by the contract documents, so as to meet project budget and program requirements.
- Ensure relevant design parameter information for incorporation into detailed designs, procurement and construction specifications to facilitate commissioning and operational readiness.
- Comprehensive Planning, Implementation and Management of all commissioning, operational readiness and performance proving activities, including Operator and Maintainer Training, to achieve handover of operational plants to client / end user
- Manage multi-disciplined T&C activities in a co-ordinated and cohesive manner.
- Manage processes to ensure systems and infrastructure are tested and commissioned against requirements, is ready for integration into operational network, and fit for intended purpose.
- Manage discipline-specific T&C teams to support system integration.
- Plan, implement and manage integrated T&C programs and schedules.
- Identify risks and opportunities relating to T&C, including identification and implementation of appropriate mitigations and control measures.
- Manage client relationships relating to T&C.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation or Building Engineering.
- At least 15 years in the field of M&E installation/testing & commissioning.
- Successful experience as a Testing, Commissioning & Operations Readiness Manager.
