About You and the Role

As a Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Rail Engineering & Integration team. Your main responsibilities will include managing the V&V process for project deliveries, analyse project requirements and propose V&V methods and V&V stages in the project lifecycle, and provide guidance to integrate processes and data from multiple disciplines. Join our team and contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of our Rail & Transport projects. 

This role can either be based in Sydney or Brisbane. 

 

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Manage V&V activities across the entire project lifecycle.
  • Review and provide input for management plans and technical processes related to V&V.
  • Guide V&V activities in various design disciplines / subsystems, and support teams to ensure correct delivery of V&V artefacts. 
  • Participate in system level verification and validation activities supporting the system integration, testing and commissioning team on various tasks. 
  • Assist with establishment of the standards to conduct technical review, inspection, testing, audits and handling of deviations and waivers.
  • Assist with identification and management of risks and opportunities in planning and performance of V&V activities. 
  • Assist with ensuring traceability of V&V activities and their results to relevant requirements including related standards.
  • Assist with updating the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) and Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) as input to Stage Gate Reviews.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent degree.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in Rail projects.
  • Prior experience in Verification and Validation methodologies, tools, techniques, FRACAS/ Defect Management Systems and V&V tracking in Requirement Management Systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different stakeholders.
