About the role


We are looking for a Quality Field Lead to join our fast-paced team working on the Wellington Metro Upgrade Project. As Quality Field Lead you will assess and review quality construction requirements in accordance with project requirements, systems, and procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining the project program and provide reporting as required.


Responsibilities of the role include:


  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities related to quality management and programming to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, specifications and client requirements
  • Document quality issues and performance measures for management review
  • Monitor in-field construction progress for adherence to program, construction, and legislative requirements and report to the Quality and Planning Engineer
  • Administer the relevant systems utilised for monitoring and documenting quality issues and actions
  • Assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards
  • Monitor and communicate quality standards on the project
  • Document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting
  • Understand compliance and reporting procedures and processes
  • Demonstrate sound people coaching skills by educating people using a coaching method to achieve and adhere to quality outcomes


To be successful in this key role, you must have:


  • Previous experience in a team leader or supervisor role in the Rail or Civil Construction industry
  • Minimum 7 years in construction leadership position
  • Experience with quality management systems, planning techniques, and tools
  • Skill in the use of document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance and procedures
